1. Responsible entity and scope
Soulful Strides Sanctuary, Inc. is identified as the organization associated with Between Hoofbeats. This policy covers the Android app and its matching public support pages.
2. Offline app and public pages
The Android app is designed to work without Internet permission. Its 35 scenes, images, safety information, source descriptions, and policy are packaged locally. When the matching support pages are hosted, the web host may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user-agent, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs under its own terms.
3. Local app state
The app may store onboarding completion, viewed-scene IDs, and up to three selected Session Anchor scene IDs in Android SharedPreferences on the device.
4. Processing purpose
Local state is used only to remember entry status, show viewed-scene progress, and display the user’s private Session Anchor selection.
5. Data not requested
The app does not request a name, email, phone number, birth date, account, password, precise location, health history, diagnosis, journal entry, appointment, payment, photograph, recording, or contact list.
6. Permissions
The release manifest requests no Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendar, notification, storage, Bluetooth, advertising, or other dangerous runtime permission.
7. SDKs, ads, and analytics
The app contains no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, crash-reporting SDK, social SDK, or third-party tracking library. The static support pages contain no client-side analytics, advertising scripts, tracking pixels, or app-specific cookies.
8. Sharing and sale
Because the app does not transmit app state to a server, it does not sell, rent, or share that state with Soulful Strides Sanctuary or third parties. The support pages do not sell or rent visitor data; their host may handle ordinary request data for delivery, abuse prevention, and security under its own privacy terms.
9. External actions
A source link or email button asks for confirmation and then hands the request to another app chosen by the device. The destination app, mail provider, browser, or website operates under its own terms and privacy practices.
10. Children and family safety
The app is adult-facing. It has no child account, profile, chat, social feed, precise-location sharing, targeted advertising, or unrestricted adult-minor messaging.
11. Health and safety limits
The app provides general educational orientation only. It is not a medical device, psychotherapy, diagnosis, treatment, emergency monitoring, crisis care, or a replacement for licensed professionals or current on-site instruction.
12. Retention
Local preferences remain until the user clears them in the app, clears app storage in Android settings, or uninstalls the app, subject to the device operating system’s behavior.
13. Deletion and no-account status
Use Lantern → Clear Local Data to remove the app’s stored preferences. No account or server-side profile exists, so there is no remote account-deletion process.
14. Backup and transfer
The manifest disables Android backup, and data-extraction rules exclude app domains from cloud backup and device transfer. Platform, manufacturer, or device behavior outside the app’s control may still change.
15. Security
Data minimization, local-only state, no network permission, no account, and disabled backup reduce exposure. No software, device, or storage environment can be guaranteed completely secure.
16. User choices
Users may avoid Session Anchor, clear local state at any time, decline external navigation, stop using the app, clear Android app storage, or uninstall the app.
17. Policy changes
Material changes should be reflected in the in-app policy, public HTML policy, store disclosures, and release notes before an updated build is distributed. The effective date will be updated.
18. Privacy contact
Privacy questions may be directed to becky_gardner@soulfulstridessanctuary.org. Email is handled by the user’s chosen external mail provider and is not sent by Between Hoofbeats.
